Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 445


Covered period: 2016 December 12-18
LAT Mission week: 445.57-446.57


  • CTA 102 detected all week in outburst state with daily fluxes above 5.0e-6. The source was above 10.0e-6 on at least three days, from Dec. 14 to Dec. 16 ((see more details in Fermi LAT ATel#9869 and GCN/FERMI NOTICE #1481817437). The peak daily flux was observed on Dec. 16: (15.8+/-0.3)e-6 with corresponding photon index 1.9+/-0.1. One Fermi ToO pointing to CTA 102 was performed following this very high-flux state and a second one is ongoing.
  • 3C 454.3 detected all week with daily fluxes between about 1.0e-6 and 3.3e-6.
  • PKS 2247-131 detected all week with daily fluxes between about 0.7e-6 and 1.5e-6  (see GCN/FERMI NOTICE #1482077947).
  • 4C +28.07 (B2 0234+28, OD 258) detected in flaring state on Dec. 16 and 17 with daily flux about 1.0e-6.
  • MG2 J071354+1934 detected in flaring state on Dec. 15 with daily flux about 0.9e-6 (see GCN/FERMI NOTICE #1481903722).
  • S5 1044+71 detected all week with daily fluxes between about 0.5e-6 and 0.8e-6.
  • S3 0218+35 (gravitationally lensed) detected in high state on Dec. 16 with daily flux about 0.8e-6.
  • S5 1053+70 detected in high state on Dec. 16 with daily flux about 0.8e-6.
  • PKS 1424-41 detected all week with daily fluxes between about 0.5e-6 and 0.8e-6.
  • PKS 1502+106 detected all week with daily fluxes between about 0.5e-6 and 0.7e-6.
  • NGC 1275 (Per A, 3C 84) detected all week with daily fluxes between about 0.5e-6 and 0.7e-6.
  • Other blazars of the day (daily flux around or below 0.5e-6):
    BL Lac, Mkn 421, PKS 2155-304, 1ES 1959+650, B2 1846+32B, B2 2234+28A, PG 1553+113, PG 1246+586, PKS 0438-43, PKS 0426-380, PKS 0502+049, PKS 0736+01, PKS 0208-512, OK 630, S5 0716+71, 3C 66A, OX 169, PKS 2320-035, OJ 287, B2 0748+33, S5 2007+77, PKS 0736+01, Ton 599.

    Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm^2/s above 100 MeV. All uncertainties are statistical only.
