Fermi LAT Weekly Report N. 274

Covered period: 2013.Sep.02 - 2013.Sep.08
LAT Mission week: 274.57 - 275.57

  • The quasar 4C+21.35 (PKS 1222+21) was strongly detected from September 2 through September 6 reaching a peak daily averaged flux of (4.1 +/- 0.5) on September 4. Its activity triggered a GCN Notice. This is the strongest flare from this source since a period of activity ending June 2010.
  • PKS 1510-08 was detected on September 4, 5, 7 and 8 with a daily averaged flux between (1.8 +/- 0.5) and (3.7 +/- 0.7).
  • 4C +38.41 (B2 1633+38) was detected on September, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 with a daily averaged flux between (0.7 +/- 0.2) and (1.3 +/- 0.2).
  • PKS 2326-502 was detected on September 4 and 7 with a daily averaged flux of (1.1 +/- 0.3) and (0.8 +/- 0.2) respectively.
  • 3C 454.3 was detected on September 5 and 8 with a daily averaged flux of (0.6 +/- 0.2) and (1.0 +/- 0.3) respectively.
  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (fluxes below 1X10-6): PKS 1424-41, NGC 1275, Mrk 421, PKS 0454-234, PKS 0426-380.

Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Note. All the fluxes reported above are from the ASP analysis and should be considered preliminary and should not be used for publication, however they are indicative of the flux range and the current status of a source. Source association is done on the basis of source location, considering spatial coincidence only, and it is not indicative of an identification.
