Fermi LAT weekly report N. 198

Covered period: 2012.March.19 - 2012.March.25

LAT Mission week: 198.57 - 199.57

  • A new gamma-ray source ASPJ053850+143951 in the vicinity of the flat spectrum radio quasar TXS 0536+145 (z=2.69) was detected on high activity on March 22, with a daily flux of (0.6±0.2) X 10-6. See ATel#3999.

  • S5 0716+71 detected on March 19, 20, 21, and 22, with a daily flux between (0.5±0.2) X 10-6 and (0.6±0.2) X 10-6.

  • PKS 1510-08 detected on high state on March 19, 20, and 21, with a daily flux between (2.7±0.5) X 10-6 and (1.1±0.3) X 10-6.

  • PKS 0454-234 detected on March 19, 24, and 25, with a daily flux between (0.8±0.2) X 10-6 and (1.0±0.2) X 10-6.

  • BL Lacertae detected on March 23 and 24 with a daily flux of (0.9±0.2) X 10-6 and (0.7±0.2) X 10-6, respectively.

  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (fluxes below 1 X 10-6 ): B2 2155+31 (March 19), PKS 0537-441 (March 20), B3 1343+451 (March 21), PMN J0531-4827 (March 25), PKS 1244-255 (March 25).

  • Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Note. All the fluxes reported above are from the ASP analysis and should be considered preliminary and should not be used for publication, however they are indicative of the flux range and the current status of a source. Source association is done on the basis of source location, considering spatial coincidence only, and it is not indicative of an identification.
