Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 398

Covered period: 2016.Jan.18 - 2016.Jan.24
LAT Mission week: 398.57 - 399.57

  • Increasing gamma-ray flux from a source positionally consistent with the microquasar Cygnus X-3, with the  most significant detection on Jan 21±2 days, with a flux  of (1.0±0.2). See ATel#8591
  • 3C 454.3 bright all week with daily flux between (2.8±0.3) and (6.5±0.5).
  • CTA 102 bright all week (but Jan 19) with daily flux between (1.4±0.3) and (3.6±0.3).
  • PKS 1502+106 active during the week with daily flux between (0.7± 0.2) and (1.2±0.6).
  • NGC1275 active during the week with daily flux between (0.3± 0.1) and (0.7±0.2).
  • 3C 279 detected on Jan 19 with flux (1.1±0.3), and then fading down to (0.3± 0.1) on Jan 23.
  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (flux below 1): PKS B1424–418, 4C +01.02, S5 0716+71, Mkn 421, B2 1846+32A, PKS 2155–304, AO 0235+164, PKS 2023–07, PKS 1717+177, PKS 0336–01, PKS 0454–234, BL Lacertae, S4 0954+65, Ton 599, PKS 1313-333, 1ES 1959+650, TXS 2241+406, 3C 66A, 4C 38.41, PKS 2052-47, PKS 2233-148, PMN J2345-155, PKS 1441+25, S2 0109+22.
Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Note. All the fluxes reported above are from the ASP analysis and should be considered preliminary and should not be used for publication, however they are indicative of the flux range and the current status of a source. Source association is done on the basis of source location, considering spatial coincidence only, and it is not indicative of an identification.
